Under a towering streetlight, more than two dozen people participate in this rural Ra-Ra. (Ra-Ra is a traditional Easter-time procession/celebration in Haiti.) Dreux's magnificent trademark palm trees and geometrically rendered buildings of the village form the middle ground of this painting, and mountains beyond mountains and a sunset sky provide the background.
Condition: Very good. The masonite this scene is painted on is not quite square; the top edge is 19 7/8 inches, while the bottom edge is 20 inches.
