According to Boris Kravitz (who was the owner of the Haitian Art Company in Key West, Florida), Michelle St. Fleur is from Haiti's Artibonite region. Boris was nearly certain that St. Fleur was a student of the well-known Haitian artist Saincilus Ismael. The level of precision and the attention to detail seen in her work is consistent with that belief.
