This painting portrays an interior scene with children playing in the left foreground, and--to the right--four people watching a space capsule ocean landing and astronaut pick-up on television. Behind the children is a large window looking out on a tranquil mountain scene with houses and grazing cows. (Or perhaps that's a painting-within-the-painting rather than a window.) The chair on the far right has a ghost image of someone seated facing the children. I cannot tell if that ghost image is intentional, or an earlier artifact of the painting that has emerged over time.
Condition: Good. There are some minor scratches and abrasions on the painting, most evident at bottom center.
